Top 50 Indie MFG has bought two petrol filling stations from Morrisons for an undisclosed price.

Property and planning consultancy Rapleys acted on behalf of Morrisons in the sale of the sites on Trafford Road, Salford, and Old Church Road, Clevedon in Somerset, on a freehold basis.

Sarah Lucas, senior surveyor at Rapleys commented: “We are delighted to have handled these successful disposals on behalf of Morrisons.

“The transaction shows the continued demand for petrol filling stations from leading independent fuel retailers as they seek to grow their networks.”

MFG is currently trialling Morrisons’ convenience food offer in several of its petrol filling station shops.

Under the deal Morrisons is supplying branded and own-brand food to the store, which has been branded Morrisons Daily

MFG is ranked second in the Top 50 Indies with 372 sites, and in addition it supplies 205 Murco dealers.
