BP and Spar retailer Namesh Nagamani has invited his local MP, Steve Double, into his store to discuss the issues affecting his business, including fuel theft and business rates.

The Spar convenience store at the BP Fuel station at Cornwall Gateway Services is located in the heart of Cornwall near Roche. It opens 24 hours a day and offers coffee, food to go, and range of other amenities.

Steve Double MP said: “I was absolutely delighted to be asked to visit the Spar convenience store at the BP Fuel station at Cornwall Gateway Services near Roche recently. It was a pleasure to meet Namesh, the store manager, and learn of the challenges he faces in running a convenience store of this nature. It was great to see a successful and growing store that is providing much needed jobs for local people.

“Convenience stores play a crucial role in providing a service to our local communities as well as employing over 1,000 people across our constituency of St Austell and Newquay. I would like to thank Namesh and his team for making me feel welcome and giving me an insight into his business.”
