Three people have been charged with conspiracy to burgle after a cash machine in Denham Green, Buckinghamshire, was blown up.

The men were arrested at the Shell garage in North Orbital Road, Denham Green, at about 11.40pm on September 8, after an explosion caused huge damage to the petrol station and nearby parked cars.

One of the three men was taken to hospital for treatment to a minor injury and was later discharged.

Trevor McCarthy, 42, of Barlby Road, Landbroke Grove, west London, Gary Mills, 39, of Fleetwood Close, Chalfont St Giles, and Ray Abraham, 36, of Hobart Drive, Hythe, Southampton, were charged with conspiracy to burgle in connection with a series of similar attacks in the South East, after an investigation by officers from the Metropolitan Police Flying Squad.

They appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, September 10, where they were remanded in custody to next appear at Kingston Crown Court on Friday, October 7.
