A raspberry & peach flavour is being added to the Trident Splash gum range. It is the best-selling Splash line in Sweden and also a top seller in Norway so Cadbury Trebor Bassett (CTB) has high hopes for it here. Rrp is 50p. At the same, CTB is launching a new pack format for Splash strawberry & lime and vanilla & mint. The Trident Splash gum ball is described as a 'playful new pack with a wide mouth that is filled with sugar-free gum'. It is expected to be a particular hit with heavy gum users. The balls contain 40 pellets and have a rrp of £2.29. When CTB launched Trident in January, it promised to bring £100m-worth of growth to the UK gum category and according to AC Nielsen figures, it will be half way towards doing this within its first year of launch.
