Avery Berkel has launched a range of counter service scales aimed at smaller independent retailers. The IM range is available in five models designed to fit any counter or checkout area and includes a compact hanging scale. Greg Astill, product manager at the company, says: "The IM range is easy to install, connect and use - simply plug it in, set it up and it works. "The range also has a USB connection, so there is no need to install a network, and the scales can be used to handle the latest traceability legislation, act as a packing machine and display eye-catching promotional messages when not in use." 0121 5681688
