Rebuilding work is set to begin this week on a Texaco Service Station at Pentraeth, Anglesey, which was gutted by fire on Good Friday.
The owners of the site, Lewis Forecourts, have put up signs in the village, thanking the public for their support and saying that the rebuilding process is due to start. Demolition warnings have also been erected at the site, advising the public to keep clear.
The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police are still investigating the cause of the fire which led to the evacuation of nearby residents at 4:50am on Friday morning.
Fire crews from Menai Bridge, Llangefni, Beaumaris and two from Bangor as well as the aerial ladder platforms from Bangor and Rhyl attended the incident, which was brought under control by the afternoon.
The A5025 was re-opened at 2.30pm on Friday and residents were allowed to return to their homes 10 hours after they were evacuated.
Gary Brandrick, senior fire safety manager with North Wales Fire and Rescue Service, said the priority had been to contain the fire.
He added: “Our firefighters concentrated on keeping the fire contained, especially given the close proximity of other premises, and worked tirelessly to ensure that the fire did not spread onto the petrol pumps.”
