Asda is cutting the price of unleaded petrol at its forecourts nationwide by up to 2ppl from tomorrow (Thursday October 25).

Motorists filling up at Asda will pay no more than 133.7ppl for unleaded, while the price of diesel remains unchanged at no more than 139.7ppl.

The supermarket has said the price cut is in response to the falling wholesale price of unleaded.

Jeremy Walton, head of petrol trading at Asda, said: “We always aim to be the first retailer in each part of the country to drop prices when costs are falling and the last to put them up.

“When we do drop prices, we drop them everywhere, setting a maximum national price cap for our customers, which means they all benefit from our low prices, regardless of where they live.”
